"I thought it would be a good idea to start a meet up group, where those in the Houston area could meet up on a regular basis. I’m thinking once a month or more for afternoon tea, lunch, brunch or anything else that seems like fun."

"I have started a meet up group, if you are interested in getting together with other members of this team, then please come and join the Afternoon Tea Meet up Group. Even if you can't make this event, please join the group so that you can see upcoming events as they are scheduled."

TOP SHOP of the week is Meraki Vintage Shop!

Here is a little bit about this fabulous shop...

~•♥•~

Meraki is Greek for "doing something with soul, creativity, or love."
 I chose this name because that's what I put into creating and maintaining my shop. I never understood that old phrase, "if you do what you love it doesn't feel like work" until now. During the day, I'm an Accountant, but in the evening I devote my time to this shop.

My love of thrifting began in college, and took root as I observed over and over again that vintage items are superior in both style and craft to modern day items of the same price.

Meraki Vintage is a mix of 1950's to 1990's finds - from classic to hipster to glam. My secret to great vintage shopping is to stick to what you know. What I find, I would wear.

Here is a little bit about this fabulous shop...

My name is Phyllis and I love working with gorgeous silks, painting and dyeing them. I mostly use silk dyes in cheerful, happy colors. My goal is always to create beautiful, very wearable scarves. I’m always exploring new dyeing and painting techniques. Such as batik, some tie-dye methods and serti, just to name a few. And, then it’s really fun to combine techniques to come up with something, hopefully entirely new. 

My other hobbies are crocheting, sewing, reading and making treasuries.

All my scarves are ready to be shipped. You’ll receive the scarf in the photos. I do all the painting and dyeing as well as the designing of the scarves in my smoke-free home. I take great pride in my work and in giving the best customer service. I will pack your scarf in gift packaging tied with a ribbon (to the US it will be a silver gift box) and I'll ship it to you or a friend right away (usually the same day). I usually ship via USPS Priority to the USA. Insurance and tracking is included at no additional charge. And if this is a gift I will be happy to include a message from you. Just go ahead and enter your message in the Notes to Seller section of the order.
